When we misplace our cell phones, our first instinct to try and find it is to call it, hoping it wasn’t left on silent. But how many times have we lost our other personal belongings, such as our keys or wallet, and wished there was an easy way to locate it? The TrackR is that simple solution that will enable you to keep better track of your personal belongings, and provides an easy way to locate them.
The TrackR is a tracking device that can be attached to your most frequently lost items, such as your wallet or keys, enabling you to track their location via Bluetooth. Once the tracking device is attached, the device is ready to be paired with your phone through the TrackR app. Once you have paired the devices, you can now track your items. The app tells you how close in proximity you are with your things and locates your things with GPS. The one thing that I find the most helpful, though, is the ability to “ring” the items. The app can tell you how close you are to your keys or bag, or whatever it is that the TrackR is attached to, but there is always that possibility that it is hidden somewhere that is hard to find. When you select “Ring Device” on the app, it locates your item with Bluetooth, and the device then lets out a high-pitched sound, a sound that is easily heard through the most compact of hiding places. Even more impressive is the fact that this process works both ways. That is, if you have your keys or wallet but not your phone, the TrackR device has a button that you can press that will in turn locate its paired phone device, which will let out a notification sound, allowing you to find its location.
I have recently obtained two TrackRs, and attached them to my own keys and wallet, two things that I tend to lose very easily. And since then, it has gotten significantly easier to find them, since I have my phone on me at all times. The only thing I have to do is turn on the Bluetooth on my phone, activate the app, and I am able to locate my things. I’ve never seen anything like this on the market, and I’m honestly surprised no one has come up with it before. The TrackR is game changing and is bound to take over the market.
