Okay so I realize that this is the second post about music in a row, but I’m currently in the midst of studying for finals, and I needed something to post today. Hopefully the music I’m featuring in this post will make up for the lack of creativity and thoughtfulness – I promise that will all come back as soon as the quarter ends next week.
I think I’ve mentioned in a post sometime in the past year that I like to create monthly playlists on Spotify, and whenever I go back to listen to them, I’m instantly taken back to the mindset that I had when I added those particular songs to the playlist. One super helpful feature on Spotify that I really like is the “Discover Weekly” playlist, a weekly playlist of songs generated special for you according to your music tastes. After I exhausted all of the artists suggested to me by friends and word of mouth, I soon found this feature, and I must say, it has helped me populate my monthly playlists tremendously, as well as finding talent out there I never would have discovered otherwise. Here are 29 of the songs I found over the past month (both through Discover Weekly and through friends’ suggestions) that I really enjoyed and that I hope you will enjoy as well.
